The OSU Extension Delaware County Master Gardener Association (DCMGA) is accepting applications from Delaware County individuals and not-for-profit organizations (schools, community groups, churches, etc.) who are planning and implementing horticultural projects and would like to partner with DCMGA.


Horticultural projects might include an educational event, such as a seminar on pruning trees, or a longer-term project, such as building a community garden, or something in between, like how to build a raised bed.


The DCMGA can provide consultation, education, and/or financial support for approved projects.


Should the DCMGA provide financial support, the funds may only be used to purchase supplies, materials, consumable products, and other necessities for the project or to pay for facility rentals and other costs related to the project. The funds may not be used directly or indirectly to benefit the individual or organization in any manner.

Delaware City

  • Boardman Arts Park
    Helped with guidance on tree selection, planting, and care plus provided 11 trees to the park in 2019 and 15 shrubs in 2020

  • Delaware City
    2020 Support to purchase 1,000 trees for volunteer planting

  • Dempsey Middle School
    Support for garden and raised beds

  • Grace Clinic
    Creation of a vegetable garden at the clinic

  • St. Michael's Community
    Project consists of six 10' long raised beds

  • Second Ward
    Support for the construction of raised beds at the community garden site


Delaware County

  • Army Corp of Engineers at Alum Creek

Planning and construction help for pollinator garden at the dam's visitor center

  • Berkshire Township Learning Garden
    Planning and help constructing a pollinator garden

  • Big Walnut Middle School
    Supported the purchase of books on pollinators to be donated to the school library Girl Scout project

  • Johnnycake Corners Elementary School (Olentangy Local School District)
    Helped plan and construct several gardens on school grounds in support of PTA / teachers efforts

  • Powell YMCA
    Support for fruit and vegetable gutter garden

  • Scioto Township
    Planning and construction of a pollinator garden at the township park

  • Stratford Ecological Center
    Native plant propagation and demonstration beds
